But it seems that they were just lies and rumors, due to the fact he has always denied it.  Against all odds, it seems that the cigarette is being an old-fashioned complement.  

In the middle of the last century, smoking in the movies was anything natural and even necessary, because in all the films an actor consistently appeared smoking.  Some gossip programs stated that Craig Bierko smoked. Nonetheless, they instantly had to deny it given that the news was false and they did not have actual evidence that it was true.  After the prohibition to show pictures on television of consumers smoking, the sale of tobacco in Spain has fallen by up to 60%.
